Martin E. Plourd Named Chair of California Bankers Association

Community West Bank is proud to announce that Martin “Marty” Plourd, President of Community West Bancshares and Director of Community West Bank, has been named Chair of the California Bankers Association (CBA) for the 2025–2026 term, effective June 1. His appointment reflects a deep, longstanding commitment to the banking industry and the communities we serve. Marty has served on the CBA board since 2016.


Beyond his leadership in banking, Marty is actively involved in community service. He serves on the board of the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, is an advisory board member of the College of Agriculture at Cal Poly Pomona and is a member of the Rotary Club of Goleta.


I am honored to be named chair of the board of directors for the California Bankers Association,” said Plourd. “This is a pivotal time for the banking sector and I am eager to champion our members and help strengthen our communities.


Community West Bank is proud to continue its legacy of leadership within the CBA. Daniel J. Doyle, current Chairman of the Board, also served as CBA Chair in 2009.
